Diyan Zora is an award winning director and writer for theatre.
Most recently, she directed Roots by Arnold Wesker at the Almeida Theatre, as part of the Almeida’s Angry and Young season.
She also directed the UK premiere of the Pulitzer prize winning play, English by Sanaz Toossi at the RSC, which was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Production in an Affiliate Theatre. She was the 2021 recipient of the 2021 Genesis Future Directors Award.
Diyan is also a playwright, and was a member of the Bush Theatre’s 2022 Emerging Writer’s Group.
Iraqi born and Birmingham raised, Diyan currently resides in London. She initiated and runs the newly formed Royal Court writers group in Iraq.
